Manhattan Interior Designers Are Moving On. . .
As a group, Manhattan interior designers have an uncanny ability to turn on the proverbial dime when it comes to style. Remember how cassial chic hit like a storm? For those of you not old enough to remember, New York interior designers seemed to move in unison in the late 90’s towards overstuffed, frumpy sofas with ill-fitting slipcovers that seemed to be reminiscent of English country houses. When that trend hit the dirt, Manhattan interior designers took an opposite tack towards elegant order. Here, they borrowed their inspiration from boutique hotels, where everything was beige and very neat. Dark floors light fabrics, tailored drapes. Now, the next big move appears to be sexy bedrooms that harken back to Harlow and ladies who have satin tufted headboards and velvet curtains that Scarlett would adore as a ballgown. These Manhattan interior designers are inspired when it comes to choosing their inspirations! – Karen Fisher
